“How to Get a Tattoo You'll Never Regret." Digital Print. 2017.
This project from my Typography I class involved finding a magazine article and redesigning its headline to capture the viewer's interest, while still maintaining the essence of the publication. I chose a Vogue piece entitled: "How to Get a Tattoo You'll Never Regret," written Kate Branch. I wanted to use illustrations of the model, Jane Moseley's, tattoos, rather than including her photo, to draw attention to the designs and their stories instead of to Moseley herself. To pay homage to Vogue, the headline uses their signature typeface, Didot, and the body text is divided into narrow columns with elegantly wide margins.
